Housing First

Housing First No House

MOSH Housing First prioritizes the Halifax community’s most vulnerable chronically homeless individuals. Individuals accepted into the program receive individualized support and case planning for as long as they need it.

MOSH Housing First provides services based on harm reduction principles, individual support, and choice. To secure appropriate housing, each participant works with one of our four intensive case managers; then works collaboratively to develop individual goals to ensure housing stability and develop independence. The intensive case manager works as part of the MOSH Housing First team and community to ensure a collaborative approach is used in developing specifics of support.

Our Housing First team consists of EJ Davis, our team lead, five intensive case managers, a program coordinator, and, through a partnership with the Nova Scotia Health Authority, clients have access to an occupational therapist.
